Primary 7 and 7/6 receive staff training today before they begin their work experience at The Coffee House on Friday.
The children will be working in the Coffee House over the next four weeks. Dates and special menus are as follows:

Mr McGinley came in today to talk to the children of Primary 7, 7/6 and 6 about his experiences being an evacuee and during the Clydebank Blitz.
On Tuesday, some Primary 6 and Primary 7 pupils travelled to the Ian Nicolson Centre to take part in an athletics competition with different schools from North Lanarkshire. Children participated in field events in the morning and track events in the afternoon. Our points will be added together soon and we will then find out if we are through to the finals. Primary 7/6 presented their personal projects today. Each pupil chose a place of interest, researched information on it, then presented it in their own words using pictures and illustrations to enhance their findings. Mrs McLennan was delighted and could see how hard people had worked. Well done P.7/6!
Today, a group of our Primary 7 choir members, went to St Timothy’s Primary School in Coatbridge to work with Robin Cairns to write a song about Malawi. They worked with children from other primary schools also have a partnership with a school in Malawi. They shared their knowledge about they country and their experience of being a partner school.
Over the next few sessions, the children will continue to write the remainder of the song lyrics then work with a musician to add a melody. The song will be performed at the Learning Festival later in the school year.
Last night, our Primary 7’s had their Summer Party Leavers’ Night. Despite, two power cuts, they all had a fantastic time!
We would like to thank the Parent Council for all thier hard work organising this event.
This morning we went to the beach then we had a guided tour at Space Expo!
We look forward to seeing you all when we get home!
Primary 7 have a full day ahead. They are going to visit the windmills and are going to see the sights in Amsterdam. There may even be enough time to stop off for a quick lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe!
Primary 7 had a fantastic day! One or two children may be coming home with a new friend!
After a busy day at the theme park, they still had lots of energy tonight down at the beach! I’m sure it’ll be lights out early tonight!
