Hard at Work in Primary 7/6
Primary 7/6 have been using cutting tools with Mrs Galloway to create prints of their insects.
They have also been using the language of Maths to talk about the different strategies they can use to calculate different division problems.
Health Week
Last week, everyone took part in a variety of different activities as part of Health Week.
Here are Primary 6 and 7/6 learning about safety around trucks and lorries. They were also very to participate in a dance workshop from Miss Hillan.
Watch Us Grow
Primary visited the Watch Us Grow Nursery at Palacerigg Country Park today to gain some valuable work experience on gardening. They are hoping to share the skills they have learned with the Primary 6’s and we hope to improve the look of our school grounds.
After all of their hard work, they had some fun in the park!
Green Fingers
Primary 6 enjoyed looking after the plants this week while Primary 7 were in York. Our runner beans are looking great!
P7 Fun
Primary Seven had a great time playing at the park and having lunch at the Coffee House today.
The Final Day
On the last day of their travels, Primary 7 visited Castle Howard and Robin Hood’s Bay. They have had a wonderful and have thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Flamingo Land
The children have had another fab day in York. They went to Flamingo Land and tonight they are having a disco to end the wonderful week they have had so far,
Day 2 from York
Here are some photographs of the Primary 7 children in York today. They took part on a walking tour with their guide Tim, they met Blood Axe Eric who was surprisingly friendly, took a river boar cruise on the River Ouse, sampled some delicious chocolate and made their own chocolate lollies! To end such a busy day, they burned off any energy they had left at the local park.
Watch Us Grow
Primary 6 and 7 are embarking on a partnership with Watch Us Grow at Palacerigg Country Park. We are hoping to gain some knowledge and experience of how we can improve our school grounds with their help.
Today, the Primary 7 children who are not away to York, went to visit the Watch Us Grow Nursery. Ann, Edward and James showed them around the plots. They even managed to have a short time in the park and visit the animals.
