We worked in groups to design and create a device that protects our ears. We have been learning about sound and how it travels as part of our Science topic. We are working on lots of meta skills here – focusing, collaborating, creativity, problem solving and many more.

Halloween Writing
Primary 7/6 put the lights down, created a spooky atmosphere and used a photo as a stimulus to create a spooky setting description.
Severe Weather Warnings
We worked in pairs to create a weather report for a severe weather warning. We included the vocabulary we think we would hear and some of us threw some drama skills into the mix!

Celebrating Success
Congratulations to this week’s Kindness award winners.
These lovely children received an award for Star Writer.
Congratulations to these boys who received an award for their hard work in Maths.
This great girl received three gold medals at her dancing for winning a competition, dancing against other children in her age group.

Active Literacy Tasks
These children have been achieving success in Literacy by creating their common words using different resources.
Poland Presentation
This fabulous boy told us some facts about Poland today. He even taught us some Polish words! 🇵🇱
Menu Change
Please take note of the following changes to the lunch menu for Tuesday and Thursday next week.
School will be closed for In Service Day on Monday 17th and the menu change on Tues 18th Nov will be Spanish Chicken or Fishless Fingers or Chicken/Cheese Sandwiches.
On World Children’s Day, Thurs 20th, the Pupil Council at St Michael’s have asked to choose their own menu that day.
They have chosen:-
Red Band – Burger with Chips and Coleslaw
Green Band – Macaroni Cheese, Veg and Crusty Bread
Blue Band – Cheese or Ham Sandwich
The Pupil Council also asked for cake so this will be a chocolate sponge for everyone.
Active Maths
Primary 6/5 have been working hard this week consolidating their learning within Number and Number Processes 😀
