Congratulations to our all of our pupils who were chosen by their teachers for showing the value of Kindness. Each child was allowed to bring a friend from their class to celebrate with them.

Mini Vinnies
Today our Primary 5 Mini Vinnie’s were officially commissioned with the Parish conference of the SVDP. It was a very exciting event and the children all did an excellent job.
House System
Our Pupil Council members explained our new House Point system to Primary 6 and 7 that we are hoping to introduce in the new year.
Melted Snowmen
Today , Primary 5 made ‘Melted Snowmen’ biscuits. We used this as a stimulus for our Instructional Writing.
Media Block
During December, we have been carrying out our Media Block, where we looked closely at the different elements of film and how they are used to create a Christmas advert.
Christmas Advent Appeal
We will be collecting donations for local Food Banks. If you are able, please send your donations to the school between Monday 8th and Friday 12th December. Some suggestions would be tea/coffee/tins of soup, fruit or beans/biscuits/sweets and any dried goods. We hope you will be able to help with this worthwhile cause.

How to Steal Christmas
Today Primary 5 were inspired by the Dr Seuss story, ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ and we used this as a stimulus for our writing. We wrote instructions of ‘How to Steal Christmas’ and focused on using bossy verbs in our writing. At the end of our writing, we proof read our work to check for punctuation and highlighted our conjunctions.
