St Michael’s Feast Day
Mass will be celebrated in school on Thursday 25th September, we will be welcoming Father Emmanuel on this occasion.
On Friday 3rd October we have lots of fun activities planned for the children including games, dance, art, Karaoke and ICT activities. Pupils should come to school dressed for P.E. activities. No football colours please.
One sponsor sheet per family should be brought in on the day with money in an envelope, only give what you can afford. All funds raised will go to support activities for our children. Please look out for a sponsor form in your child’s school bag.
On this day we will also be having a special lunch of hot dogs or quorn nuggets with arctic roll. We would encourage everyone to try school lunches on the day. All children in P.1 – P.5 are entitled to a free school meal and P.6 & P.7 must ensure there is money in their lunch account.
St. Michael’s Primary will be closed to all pupils on Friday 26th and Monday 29th September.
Addition Strategies
Today, Primary 5 worked together to share additional strategies. They were adding up in chunks and are able to explain their process of thought to one another.
Blessed Carol Acutis
We are working together to create a poster of everything we have learned about the millennial Saint, Carlo Acutis, as part of our learning for Pilgrims of Hope
The Rainforest
This week we began our topic on the rainforest.
The children shared what they already knew about the rainforest, what they would like to find out about the rainforest and any questions they had.

Primary 4/3 were given the task to write a number on their board and get into the correct order from smallest to largest without speaking to each other.
