We are on the Week Two menu for lunches this week. Please remember that Thursday (15th) is Christmas lunch and no other options will be served that day. If your child has not returned their order slip, please ensure you provide them with a packed lunch.

Also, here  is a wee reminder of all our Christmas events for this coming week – week beginning 12th December. 🎅🏻🎄

From Monday, tickets will be on sale in the School for a Parent Council Christmas Raffle. These will also be available on the days of the Christmas Shows and the raffle will take place on a LIVE Stream on the St John Paul II Parent Council Facebook Page.

Our December Newsletter is now available to download.  It is packed with lots of information and a list of events, dates, times and details for everything that is happening in our school community between now and Christmas.

Our photographer has all of the School & Nursery photos (Individual & Family) live online and ready to order. He has created 3 separate deadline dates which will qualify for free school delivery, though the option to pay to have these sent straight to your home address is still available.

 1st batch – 26th November – 7th December (All orders in this batch will be processed on 8th December and delivered before Christmas)

 2nd batch – 8th December – 13th January (All orders in this batch will be processed on the 14th and delivered to the school shortly after)

3rd and final batch – 14th January – 31st January (All orders in this batch will be processed on the 1st February and delivered to the school shortly after.

Please note though, only the 1^st batch of orders (26^th November – 7^th December) will be delivered before Christmas.

You will need your access code to enter the site, the children were given this on a card on the day of their photo. There is a separate code for sibling group photos. If you need a replacement code, please contact the school office.

After the 31st January, the free delivery option will expire and any further orders placed after this date will be charged a shipping fee for direct delivery to your home address. The gallery will remain live with all photos available until the photographer visits again next year. At this point the previous year will be archived.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUB UPDATE

Due to unforeseen circumstances the following clubs will not be on next week (Week Beginning 28th November)

Monday – P4-7 Homework club
P6/7 Netball club

Tuesday – p4-7 Athletics club

Thursday – P2/3 Football is off due to Parents Night

STEM and P6/7 Football will run as normal but this is their last week.

Drama club will run until Wed 14th Dec and then we will break for Christmas.

We will send out info in the new term with what clubs will be available and the start dates for those clubs that will be ongoing.

After School Clubs

Please note the following information regarding After School Clubs.

P2/3 Homework Club – Monday

Unfortunately due to staff commitments/training we have made the decision to cancel the remainder sessions.  We hope to offer more After School club opportunities in the new year.

P2/3 Football Club – Thursday

Due to potential strike action After School Football on 24th November may not go ahead if the school is closed.  Due to parents’ evening on 1st December there will be no after school football on this date.

All other After School Clubs

Please note the last week for after school clubs is w/b 28th November.

We will issue letters about the opportunities on offer for Term 2 when we return in January.

Week Two for lunches this week. The menus have been updated – sandwiches instead of wraps, and baked potatoes available every day.

Also Monday is our special Halloween Menu. The Spooky Upside Down Burger is a chicken burger

Information about our Halloween Activities has previously been sent out, but here is a wee reminder for you…

TICKETS ARE ON SALE IN SCHOOL NOW AND CAN BE PURCHASED FROM THE OFFICE OR CHILDREN WILL BE CALLED TO BUY THEIR TICKETS THROUGHOUT THE DAY.

Halloween BOO-tique!

Many thanks to those who handed in the wonderful costumes.  Parents/Carers can come and have a look at any point in the school day.  Children can also come along and take a look.  These are FREE and do not need to be returned.  Please do come and take whatever you like!

Halloween Parade – Monday 31st October

We will have a Halloween Parade in school on Monday.  This is for children only.  

Children are invited to dress up for the parade and the information for this is as follows:

• Children can be collected from the MAIN GATE at 12:15pm.  Please do not come to the office earlier!
• Children should come back to school at 1:20pm.  Please keep your child at home until then as we do not have enough people to supervise both indoors and outdoors, therefore children will need to be in the playground and we wouldn’t want their costumes to be damaged in any way.
• PLEASE BE MINDFUL – we cannot take responsibility for costume extras/props, etc.  going missing.
• Please consider others and refrain from sending your child with scary masks and face paint as far as possible.

If your child is NOT going home to change, they can bring a simple costume to school and staff will do their best to assist them in changing.
