Good Morning Primary 5 and Primary 6,

It has been great to hear from you about your suggestions for films to watch, keep your suggestions coming.

Here are some of your home learning tasks for this week:

>>>>Maths

Hexagons/Semi-circles/Pentagons = Converting fractions into decimals

You will need a calculator for this task, you can get one on your computer/mobile/tablet  if you don’t have one at home. Some questions you may be able to work out in your head but you can use a calculator. Read each question carefully as you are not just writing the numerator with a 0. before it. Look closely at the denominator to see what you need to divide by.   How to convert fractions into decimals 11th June

P6 Buddy Story Task

Create a story for your P1 buddy. Include you and your buddy as a character (if you can remember their name). Make it suitable for a 4/5 year old, for example it could be an adventure you go on together outside of school or in school. Try to include interesting verbs, adjectives and emotions. Once complete I can print these out and keep them in school for a time when it will be possible for them to be given to your buddies.

P5 Story Writing Task

Create a story of your choice, it could include a tragedy, a quest or be a comedy or a story of rags to riches. You can choose any type you want. If you need some inspiration see the below files. Your story should have a paragraph that introduces the story and characters/setting, a middle which builds up to the main event and then an ending that brings the story to a close. Try to include lots of detail and make it interesting.
