The motto of St Helen’s Primary & Nursery is:

In St Helen’s Primary & Nursery we aim to ensure that the following values will be at the core of our work.

We aim to:
· provide high quality teaching and learning in a safe, secure, trusting environment by implementing and developing the learning outcomes of a Curriculum for Excellence and so develop in each pupil the capacity to be a SUCCESSFUL LEARNER

· promote our Catholic identity and demonstrate how our religious and moral values permeate both life in the school and the wider community, where each person plays a vital role in developing the moral, spiritual and social values of each pupil in preparation for their role as a RESPONSIBLE CITIZEN

· raise achievement in all curricular areas by building positive self image, high self esteem, confidence and mutual respect and so develop in each pupil the capacity to be a CONFIDENT INDIVIDUAL

· to continue to place a strong emphasis on developing our relationship with all stakeholders by promoting the concept of active partnership and a sense of community by making every effort to ensure that each individual is given opportunities to fulfil their potential and so encourage each to become an EFFECTIVE CONTRIBUTOR
