Nursery to Primary One

Our pupils have a very structured transition programme from nursery into Primary 1. The Primary 6 pupils that will be their Buddies in Primary 1 visit the nursery several times & complete their ‘Pupil Passport’.

Teaching staff work closely with nursery staff to ensure that the transition from nursery to Primary 1 is as smooth as possible for our learners.

An information afternoon is also held for parents to ensure that they have all the details that they need to support them as their child starts school.

If a child has additional support needs, meetings will take place with parents and any other agencies involved to ensure the correct support is in place from the outset.
