Good Morning Primary 5 and 6,

Here are some home learning tasks for you to complete.

Literacy Taught Writing:

Narrative writing – Read over the checklist and PowerPoint first. Then watch this short clip.

Before starting plan your story using a mind map or bullet points, and as you write keep checking the checklist to make sure you are meeting the success criteria. Include detail on what you/the characters can hear, see and feel as well as describing the character themself.

Story ideas linked to the clip (although you can use your own ideas too):

a. Think of a family member/friend that you would love to go on an adventure with, use your imagination and create a story detailing what happens on the adventure

b. Think about what happens next in the story to the characters, could there be a real adventure that comes their way?

c. Our class could be faced with an adventure on a school trip, you step up and be our leader to help us get through it

Maths

Create a timetable of your week, include times you completed each thing, for example

9.00am to 9.30am had breakfast

9.30 to 10.00am completed an online workout

Weekly timetable – a template you can use or you can create your own.

Extra Maths task – Think of a job and complete the worksheet with it in mind. Think about what the person would do throughout the day. You could choose a footballer, teacher, chef, anything you like. You could research some more information about what they would do on a usual day and include timings for their activities.
