The role of the Faith in Action group is to promote and support all aspects of faith within St Bartholomew’s, helping pupils, parents/carers and staff to truly live their Catholic faith through prayer, liturgy, charity work and parish links.

Raise money for Charity (Maisie Milk, SCIAF, Mary’s Meals & Innocents)
How many sweets in the jar – date to be confirmed. Cake sale Tuesday 12th November.
Help pupils learn Mass responses
Mass booklet competition. Posters being made to advertise. 1 person p1-3 and P4-P7 Amazon gift card prize. Mrs Bolland will provide £20 to support this. Competition ends 11th Keira to remind Mrs Doyle and visit classes to talk about competition.
Mrs Bolland has also bought a DVD with mass responses. When this arrives, there will be a 5 min slot at weekly assembly.
Promote prayer Service – weekly
Prayer service – dojo points for attending. Mrs Carlin will provide tokens to be given to teachers to add to Dojo.
Look at ways the school can celebrate Feast Days
1st November – All Saints Day. Keira and Liam will talk at assembly about the feast day this Friday

Bake sales run by P7’s. Group could ask for cake donations by writing letters to parents. Mrs Bolland can also send out an appeal on Blog and Twitter – group to let Mrs B know when this needs to be done. Group to discuss further at next meeting and work out details to make this happen.
Help pupils learn Mass responses
Mass responses – group will lead a short section of the whole-school assembly to teach a new mass response each week. There will be a focus each week on a specific section of the mass that group will ask teachers to also practise in class. Group will make a weekly sheet with the focus Mass response and issues to teachers.
Promote prayer Service – weekly
Prayer service – groups to issue posters and signs about weekly prayer service to promote it.
Look at ways the school can celebrate Feast Days
Feast Days – Group to promote next Feast Day by arranging paper roses on class altars.
