Week beginning 21^st October 2024

We hope that you have enjoyed a lovely break during the October holidays. The weather is certainly taking a turn and please don’t forget to pop into our uniform bank where there are plenty of warm jackets/ coats, jumpers and all other manner of school uniform items. We are looking to create some space so please come along and take as much as you need.

The week ahead looks like this:

The parent council have organised some exciting Halloween events for the children this year and our whole school Halloween disco will take place on Wednesday 30th of October:

P1-4 children will attend 6pm – 7:15pm

P5-7 children will attend 7:30pm – 8:45pm

Tickets for the disco cost £3 and can be purchased from the school office.

There will be a Tuck shop and Halloween goodies stall available and also games and prizes on the night!

Coming up this Friday the 25th of October the parent council have arranged for a non-uniform and spooky/crazy hair day for the children.

We can’t wait to see everyone with their awesome spooky/crazy hair

If the children could bring £1 donations on Friday for their Non-uniform, Spooky/crazy hair day please.

The Rights Reps have worked very hard to select Rights and put together children and Adult responsibilities to keep every one happy in safe in the playground. They have called it our Playground Charter. The Rights Peps shared the carter with the whole school at assembly.

Primary 6 children took part in trials for the running club. The successful children have joined the primary 7’s to make up this years running club. Good luck children!

Congratulation to some Primary 7 pupils who used their music skills to learn and play the Hymn to St Bartholomew. They played as we sang at assembly. You were amazing!

Our boys and girls have had another fabulous week in St Bart’s. They are indeed a credit to themselves, the school and their parents and carers. The children thoroughly enjoyed having their photographs taken on Thursday last week and we look forward to some fabulous pictures!

Again, can I ask all parents not to enter the playground when children are present? Thank you in advance for your support with this important request. Some concerns have been raised about the use of the staff car park by parents and children. This is a hazard and we would respectfully ask that this stops for the health and safety of all. Thank you in advance for your support with such an important matter.
