The boys and girls pictured above have enjoyed great success outwith school – all of your friends at St Bartholomew’s congratulate you for these wider achievements!
On Monday, Primary 1 are looking forward to visiting the Riverside museum as part of their topic work in class. We are looking forward to finding out how they got on! Dance after school club is on today and as always, please remind children to pack kits and water bottles. Thank you.
On Tuesday, I will be visiting Noble Primary as part of our involvement in the Scottish Attainment Challenge. I look forward to learning about literacy initiatives that will contribute towards improvements. Mrs Dolan will escort some of our pupils to St Augustine’s for the annual dance festival. We wish them the very best of luck… We are also thinking of our Primary 3 boys and girls who will be receiving the very special sacrament of Reconciliation this evening at St Bartholomew’s Church at 7pm. Could I ask that children and their families arrive at Church for 6.40pm so that everyone is settled in plenty of time.Thank you.
On Wednesday, our Primary 5 boys and girls will enjoy their third session of swimming and dry sports at The Time Capsule. This is a very important part of the curriculum and will contribute towards life long learning. As part of the early years expansion, I will be meeting Aileen and Lizzie from facilities and nutrition in order to plan ahead for providing our youngest pupils with a healthy meal. I am very much looking forward to visiting P1 this morning and look forward to sharing in the children’s numeracy progress.
On Thursday, Primary 3 will also be out and about and will visit the National Museum in Edinburgh, as part of current learning. We look forward to hearing all about it! Our Education Psychologist will visit this morning in order to support some of our pupils and their families. As always, visitors to our school are most welcome.
On Friday, Mrs McLean will be meeting with NLC’s numeracy team in order to plan for improvements in numeracy. As always, we will hold our weekly assembly and keep you posted on who our pupils of the week, Cool Class and winning house will be.
Please look out for next term’s newsletter in your child’s bag as it contains all of the important dates for events in our final term so that you are well prepared for the very busy term ahead. Be advised that on Friday, we finish at 2.30pm for the Easter holidays and return on Monday 15th April. Have a wonderfully relaxing break.
