The photograph above pictures our winners and runners up in the World Book Day competition organised by Ms Connor last week. Children were asked to create their own book cover and the most creative entries won. The boys and girls were delighted to receive their prizes during assembly on Friday. Well done everyone!

On Monday, there will be a  mini sports hall event  for our Primary 3 pupils. Please ensure children are appropriately equipped with kits etc. I will be spending some time in Primary 7, after interval to share in the day to day learning. I am very much looking forward to experiencing the children’s progress. Mrs MacIntyre will be attending a literacy coach meeting in order to improve experiences for all of our boys and girls. I look forward to hearing about new initiatives in this core area. Staff from St Ambrose Support for learning team will be visiting St Bart’s this afternoon,  you are most welcome! As always, we have our dance after school club on at 3pm until 4pm.

On Tuesday, I will be attending a leadership course on grievience and discipline at the Westerwood hotel. I look forward to keeping up to date with current procedures and processes.

On Wednesday, I will be attending the  west partnership conference at Celtic Park and look forward to collaborating with colleagues from across the West of Scotland inordevto improve outcomes for our children. Primary 5 boys and girls will be attending the Time Capsule for the second time in order to learn or enhance their skills and knowledge in swimming. This is a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to experience such important life skills. There is also the opportunity to take part in dry sports, increasing fitness levels and general health. One of our nursery staff will take part in  verp training today, again to enhance Experian’s outcomes for our youngest pupils. Primary 3 will experience further skills in  outdoor learning from the team at NLC.

On Thursday, St Bartholomew’s will be hosting a cluster meeting, which will provide an excellent review of collaboration within our cluster. There will also be an outdoor learning meeting, organised by Mrs MacIntyre.

On Friday, Sally Wilkinson will be delivering  kodaly for our p5 pupils. The boys and girls are looking forward to enha cin* their musical skills and talents. I will also be sharing in the learning of our p6 pupils and look forward to experiencing new initiatives in numeracy. We all look forward to finding out who our pupils of the week, Cool Class Cup and winning house will be at assembly!
