PC James Maxwell  lead an anti bullying presentation for all of our pupils yesterday. Primary 1- Primary 3 all gathered together in the hall and watched an age appropriate video and listened to some very interesting information about how to be a good friend and how to deal with people who are not so nice.

Primary 4/5 and Primary 5/6 listened well to some informative facts and responded to PC Maxwell’s questions, after watching a video. Our boys and girls had obviously been listening attentively as they provided relevant answers to all of the questions.Well done boys and girls.

Primary 6/7 and Primary 7 pupils received a more grown up version of an anti bullying message. PC Maxwell made a very clear message about the consequences of using threatening behaviour to other children and indeed, adults. Threatening others with weapons was also  discussed and again the consequences of such actions were relayed. Our pupils were very attentive throughout the presentation and many found it very interesting and informative. Thank you boys and girls.

A huge thank you to PC Maxwell for his input yesterday afternoon and we look forward to welcoming him back into the school in the very near future to talk about ‘Stranger Danger’.

Primary 4 pupils  missed out on PC Maxwell’s presentation as they were out on their excursion to Glasgow Science Centre. As you can see from our twitter pictures, great fun was had by all. Thank you to our parent helpers who volunteered their time, to escort our boys and girls on their trip.

Please keep up to date with the names of our ‘Pupils of the Week’  from our assembly today. Mrs MacIntyre will post the names of the deserving boys and girls, later on in the afternoon.

Mrs Bolland
