The photographs above illustrate the wonderful entries for our Easter Egg competition. Prizes were given out on Thursday and the very talented children were absolutely delighted! Well done boys and girls. Our Primary 1 to 3 pupils enjoyed their Easter egg hunt- many thanks to our Parent Council for organising.
Welcome back everyone after the Easter long weekend. This is the most significant feast within the Church’s calendar and on behalf of all of our staff, we hope that the Risen Lord has given you all strength and hope for the future. A huge thank you to Fr O’Kane , who celebrated a weekly mass in our Oratory during Lent. This is very much appreciated by all in our Parish community.
The week ahead look like this at the moment;
On Tuesday, we welcome back all of our boys and girls, especially those who have recently joined us and some who have rejoined us. It is lovely to see you!
On Wednesday, our Primary 5 pupils will be attending the Time Capsule for swimming and dry sports lessons. This is a really important part of physical education and enhances skills and knowledge that contribute towards life long learning. The children are thoroughly enjoying their time there- long may it continue. We are very fortunate to have a professional theatre company visit our Primary 6 and Primary 7 pupils on the important subject of road safety. I will be attending a meeting at NLC headquarters in the afternoon in order to keep up to date with current initiatives.
On Thursday, Vicky from CLD will be visiting us to work with some of our parents and children. Thank you for organising such worthwhile input. The dental team from child smile will be popping in today to help support the oral health of our youngest pupils. I will be attending a meeting in respect of new initiatives in Early Years . You will be updated in due course.
On Friday, Primary 1 to Primary 3 will be enjoying cookery lessons in our kitchen. We are so lucky to have such wonderful facilities. We look forward to assembly today, where some very worthy winners will receive ‘Pupil of the Week’ certificates.
