We had five visitors from John Paul 11 Primary School in Uddingston in our school yesterday. They arranged this visit to observe teaching and learning in maths, as they have heard some good things about what we do in St Bart’s. Mr Thomas and his colleagues were very impressed with our boys and girls’ wonderful attitude to their learning and also the fantastic teaching from Ms Connor and Ms Kiernan. A big thank you to both of them for welcoming our visitors so warmly!

Our Primary 4’s are visiting the Science Centre in Glasgow today to learn from the ‘How the body works’ workshop. This trip has been rescheduled from a few ago and I know that the boys and girls are especially looking forward to it now. Again, thank you to our parent helpers who have rearranged their schedules to join us on this super trip.

I have invited Police Scotland to talk to all of our boys and girls about bullying and how seriously this is taken by the Police. They will be in St Bart’s this afternoon and I know that our pupils will listen attentively and will wholeheartedly engage with the community officers. We are all looking forward to welcoming the officers in to St Bartholomew’s.
