St Patrick’s Festival Cup
Congratulations to our Gaelic Team who retained the St Patrick’s Festival cup this morning for the third year in a row. Everyone should be proud of their effort and team spirit. Huge thanks to family and friends for joining us this morning. We hope we made you proud!
Tesco Bags of Help Grant Scheme – Coming Soon!
We are delighted to let you know our bid for the Tesco Bags of Help Grant Scheme has been successful and our project will be put forward to a customer vote in Tesco Stores during April, May and June 2020. We applied to this scheme to help develop our outdoor area to provide a stimulating and dynamic area for our children to enhance their health and wellbeing.

Our project, along with two others in our region will go forward to vote in Tesco stores where customers will decide the outcome by voting for their favourite project each time they shop. Voting will take place from Wednesday 1st April 2020 until Tuesday 30th June 2020. The project with the highest number of votes will receive £2,000, second place £1,000 and third placed project £500. We will find out in July the amount we will receive.
We hope you will support us on this project and will issue reminders nearer the time. Thanks in anticipation of your support.
Lenten Charity Appeal
At our whole school assembly last week we were joined by Martin Mann, a representative from MISSIO, who spoke to the children about the great work of MISSIO. This will be our main charity during Lent with all classes involved in fundraising. Children have MISSIO boxes in their classrooms to collect any spare change to compete with houses in order to see which house can collect the most money during Lent. This week our Pupil Council are running a number of events and competitions at a cost of 50p each that are linked to our Literacy Week and World Book Day on Thursday.

What’s on this Week?
Father Kane has very kindly agreed to come to the school throughout Lent to serve Mass to our Pr. 5 – 7 pupils. Parents and grandparents are invited to join their child’s class for the service. Dates and times are noted below and will also feature in a separate post. This week our school community commences its fundraising for MISSIO and will also launch our Confirmandi projects for Mary’s Meals.
