Sports for Champions Event

Commonwealth Games Silver Medallist, Stephanie Inglis, will visit Stane Primary on Thursday 21st September to work with all of the children from P1-7 for their sponsored circuit.

Children were issued with a sponsor form from Sports for Champions a few weeks ago. Don’t worry if you have misplaced it, a new copy can be downloaded from http://www.sportsforchampions.com/sites/default/files/downloads/sponsorship-form.pdf

By hosting a ‘Sports for Champions’ event, we are helping to raise money to support young athletes to be able to compete in national events.  It also helps to raise much needed school funds.  The first £400 raised will be donated to Sports for Champions and all money raised thereafter goes to the school.  If every child can raise just £2.60, we will be able to meet the target of £400.

You can find out more about the event at http://www.sportsforchampions.com

On the day of the event, children should come to school wearing suitable sports clothes and bring their sponsor money and completed form.
