Our Lady’s School Improvement Priorities 2023-24

 

Priority 1 – Learning and Teaching

  • Consistently high learning and teaching experiences for young people based on the OLHS teaching framework.
  • Increased opportunities for young people to lead learning.
  • Young people will experience appropriate challenge and pace in lessons planned to meet their needs.
  • Increased use of digital strategies to enhance learning.

 

Priority 2 – Raising Attainment and Achievement

  • Development of new OLHS raising attainment strategy, calendar and policy.
  • Increase in the number of young people achieving 5 National 5s in S4.
  • Increase in the number of young people achieving 1 Higher in S5.
  • Reduction the poverty related attainment gap in literacy and numeracy.
  • Increase in the effective use of data to raise attainment.
  • Development of a whole school OLHS tracker.

 

Priority 3 – Health and Wellbeing

  • Improved use of all GIRFEC procedures and policies.
  • Improvement in pupil attendance, in all stages.
  • All pupils with a barrier to learning will benefit from a wellbeing assessment and targeted intervention.

 

Priority 4 – Self Evaluation

  • Development of a new whole school/faculty self-evaluation policy.
  • Development of new whole school/faculty self-evaluation calendar.
  • Increased opportunities for staff, parents/carers and pupils to be involved in self-evaluation and school improvement planning.
