My week started of with a quick trip to Coatbridge Library. This year, Kirkshaws will be taking part in the Primary Reading Quiz which is open to all primary schools in North Lanarkshire. As always, we have a willing band of volunteers ready to take on another challenge. One more week until our mid-term break next weekend. Remember school is closed Monday 12th & Tuesday 13th February. Pupils do not attend on Wednesday 14th either, as this is a teachers’ in-service training day. Monday night is our next Parent Council Meeting. All parents welcome. We finished off our Scottish month with a celebration of learning, covering song, poetry and art. Learners from all classes, including our morning nursery, took part, with their peers cheering them on and joining in. The effort and achievements demonstrated far surpassed my expectations. Yet again, Kirkshaws staff, pupils AND parents gave it their all. I know many of you will have heard the same poems over and over again
