Day and night

We started a new topic called day and night. We bought about how we know it is daytime and how we know it is night time.

The moon and stars come out and night and the sun goes down.

I go out and play with friends in the day time.

The sun is out in the day time.

Owls come out at night.

We learned about animals that come out at night. They are called nocturnal animals then we made owls.

We made beautiful day and night sky’s and wrote about them.

P4/5 came to our class

We were very lucky today because p4/5 came to share their learning with us. We asked them to visit because they had learned all about the 80’s. In our class we were learning about when our parents were our age and lots of them were our age in the 80’s.

First they came to our class to tell sully about what they had learned. They told us lots about fashion and we know if was very different from now.

After that they took us to their class to show us some of their displays.

My favourite thing was seeing the fashion pictures. Erin

My favourite thing was seeing the disco dancers display. Evie

We learned that they had to wear white socks to be fashionable. Oliver.

My favourite part was going to their class. Marcus.

This week in P1

My favourite part of this week was making a healthy sandwich in art. – Lewis.

We did and experiment in science to show us that germs are scared of soap and we should use soap to wash our hands. – Oliver.

We learned about an artist called Mondrian who used straight black lines to make squares and rectangles. He only used red, blue and yellow colours. We learned these are the primary colours. We copied his style and did our own pictures. Daryll and Jaymi.

We have also been practising all our letter and are getting really good at them. We learned to blend letters to make words. Arron and Erin.

Busy bees

What a busy week we have had in Primary 1. You can read pur review of the week in this photo…

We really loved learning a new song all about things we can do. We had to point to parts of our body, lift parts of our body and shake parts of our body! Look at as singing and doing the actions…
