S2 students will receive paper copies of their S3 Options Choice forms before their S2 Parents Evening. A copy of this can be seen by clicking the link below:
To parents/carers:
You will have received an email from the school with a link to this section of the website. Here you will find a presentation which will guide you and your child to make the bets options choices for them to be successful in S3 and beyond.
It is important that when your child completes their option choices that you sign and return this form to school so that we can attempt to meet their curricular needs.
On Tuesday 3 March, we will also be offering the opportunity for parents/ carers to book appointments with your child’s Pupil Support teacher (Mrs McConville for pupils in the LCSC) if you wish to have more help or information to complete your child’s options choices. More information regarding this and how to book appointments will follow soon.
Info to current S2 learners:
Please use your S2 report, parents evening meetings and any discussion with your Pupil Support teacher (Mrs McConville for pupils in the LCSC) during your PSE period (and/or any other time if required) to help you complete your choices.
Please note that we will do everything possible to ensure that pupil choice is met.
However, classes can only run where numbers choosing the subject (and level) are sufficient to justify this and where we have sufficient staff.

The anticipated timeline for options choices is below:
- Thursday 19 February– receive tracking report on progress in subjects
- Monday 23 February– receive options form in PSE from Pupil Support Teacher. Paper copy to pupils and copy on school website along with guide to choosing subjects
- Tuesday 24 February– S2 Parent and Carer Consultation Evening
- Monday 2 March– pupils will use time in PSE to discuss options with Pupil Support Teacher (Mrs McConville for pupils in the LCSC)
- Tuesday 3 March– opportunity to meet with Pupil Support Teacher if you or your child require additional support or information for options (Mrs McConville for pupil in the LCSC- this may be on a different date)
- Monday 9 March– further discussion with Pupil Support Teacher regarding options in PSE (Mrs McConville for pupils in the LCSC).
- Friday 13 March– completed options forms due.
