Physical Education

Physical Education qualifications focus on developing and improving practical and performance skills in physical activities. These Courses provide opportunities to develop team building skills and enhance learners’ ability to compete, co-operate and collaborate.

– Brannock High School had their annual Sports Day Thursday 11 May where almost 200 S1-S3 pupils took part to represent their House Groups. Arran House won overall this year, taking the title from last years winning team Bute. Special mention to the S1 Arran team for dominating almost all events! A total of 72 Gold medals were won at the event. Results were used to choose this years County Sports Team! Well Done to all who took part!
– 14 girls from the S1-S3 netball team went to the Emirates Arena May 15 to watch Scotland’s professional netball team, Sirens play against Severn Stars. Sirens won their match favourably and the girls enjoyed the experience! Even Mr Lalley got a turn at shooting at half time!


– 45 pupils from Brannock HS represented the school in this years NL County Sports Championships. Day one seen 45 pupils compete with 6 through to the semi finals on the second day. We also took home 3 medals; Ian Black got Silver in the High Jump, Darci Mason and Amy Burlington got Bronze in the High Jump and the S3 boys relay team won bronze, Liam Crawford, Dylan Taylor, Zack Caldwell and Andrew Townsley. Day 2 18 pupils attended. From this, 7 pupils made finals; Hollie Welsh, Aimee Campbell, Darci Mason, Chloe Lang, Megan Lang, Scott Findlay and Liam Watson. Brannock won Silver in the S1 800m thanks to Hollie Welsh, Bronze in the S2 400m from Scott Findlay and a Gold in the S3 400m from Liam Watson. The other girls finished a close 4th place. Overall a fantastic achievement for Brannock this year with a total of 6 medals!
