Mathematics qualifications motivate and challenge learners b31102014_122759_0y enabling them to select and apply mathematical techniques in a variety of mathematical and real-life situations. These Courses equip learners with the skills needed to interpret and analyse information, simplify and solve problems, and make informed decisions.

S2 pupils at Brannock High School achieved 2 Silver Awards and 5 Bronze Awards in this year’s UKMT Junior Maths Challenge. Over 250,000 pupils from across the UK sat the Junior Maths Challenge with roughly the top 6% receiving a gold certificate, the next 13% silver and the next 21% bronze. Silver Awards: Ellyce Sneddon and Charlize Ellis. Bronze Awards: Gleb Kurganskis, Adam Timmins, Lucy Brown, Kayla Carty and Cameron Burlington. The Junior Maths Challenge is run by the UK Mathematics Trust and supported by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. It is aimed at those in S1 and S2 and is sat in schools.
