P3 have been working hard this week as well as having a very busy and successful Open Afternoon on Wednesday. A big thank you to everyone who visited our class. The children all enjoyed being a guide and showing their work and achievements.

Mme. Miller has been visiting to teach us French.

We made “Marionnettes” and gave them French names so we could have a French conversation with them.

Well done to our Dancemania dance troop who have qualified for the North Lanarkshire finals.

 

P1b have begun to look at symmetry. Today we made some symmetrical patterns with beads.

P7/6 gave a fantastic performance on Wednesday 7th March at Motherwell Concert Hall.  We composed our own lyrics and melody to create our Lighthouse song.  Our talented musicians also played a variety of instruments.  You can hear all the songs on Spotify, search for Incredible Structures and you should find it.  Well done P7/6.

Primary 1b had a fantastic visit to the Fishy Factory today. Thank you P6 for all your hard work. The children had a great time. A super enterprise, well done.👍

Primary 1 have been having fun working on gymnastics this term.  They are enjoying learning new skills on the wall bars.  The teachers have been very impressed with the children’s attitude to trying new things.

We went to Palacerigg Country park on a woodland adventure which was organised by pupils from local high schools. We had great fun helping to find Fiona the fairy, who had gone missing. We listened to lots of clues and stories about fairies and then set of on our adventure to find her. The woods had been decorated with pretty banners and twinkly fairy lights and beautiful music was playing in the background.

In Primary 1 we are all heroes.  We wanted to learn about superheroes.  We had a lot of fun learning about different powers and looking at science experiments with magnets, water and strength.
