Reading School

During the session 2020 – 2021, we started our journey towards achieving Reading Schools status. Miss. Paterson led the group of staff and pupils to implement our ideas, gather evidence and submit for validation. We achieved Reading Schools status in May 2021.

• Your evidence submission was a real joy to read and it’s absolutely apparent that you have worked so hard to build a fun, engaging and meaningful reading culture across the whole of the school. Well done to everyone involved, you should all  be really proud of yourselves!

• In terms of your progression to Silver level, you are absolutely right – Balmalloch is well on its way to achieving the next level.

In Session 2021 – 2022, we ae working our way to hopefully achieving Silver level accreditation for Reading School.
