The children have been learning about where their food comes from. Today they dug for vegetables in the soil, scrubbed them clean, peeled them and added them to their huge soup pots. Then they stirred and stirred and stirred!

Decorating fir trees
Today the children found some fir tree branches lying in the garden. We brought them inside and decorated them with paint, glue, glitter and tinsel. Tomorrow we will decorate the garden with our colourful branches!
Money! Money! Money!
Primary 5 have been exploring money over the past few weeks. We have been trying to spend within a budget. This week we have decided to use money instead of class points.
We have created a list of ways we can earn money and there is also a list of things we can get fined for. On Friday we will have the choice to spend our money on a treat or save it up for next week!
Transient Art
Here’s an inspiring addition to our art area: transient nature art! We simply provided frames and a collection of natural materials. Transient art is not permanent and allows the children to manipulate, explore, and experiment with patterns and shapes in a completely free way.
