The weekend was a success when we came back we only had to remove 1 egg and today we had our first hatched egg. Then another one followed this afternoon. Willie brought us another 100 eggs as they miscounted the eggs.

We, P6 know that looking after fish eggs is very important. We have made a charter to show our commitment to the fish. So far we have no dead fish eggs and we have maintained a steady temperature.

We have been enjoying different active strategies to learn our spelling. We might have fun but we are still working hard on our spelling words.
As part of our Space topic we attempted the Mannequin Challenge. We are astronauts in space, can you tell?
Primary 6 had a great visit to Glasgow Science Center to learn how to look after our trout fish eggs. We had a fun day and learned a lot too. We are looking forward to the challenge of caring for the fish.
Primary 6 were very excited today when Willie delivered our fish eggs. We now have 200 new classmates! Thanks to Mr Thomson for making our fabulous insulated box.
For the past two weeks P5 have been reading a non-fiction book called Hercules and Other Greek Legends. We found out lots of interesting facts from this book. We are not quite sure if we believe the stories 100% because there are some strange monsters in the stories.
On Friday we read another story called Theseus and the Minotaur. We compared this story to the Hercules story. Here are some of the similarities we found:
-They both defeated a monster.
– There were wars in both stories.
– Both stories had evil kings.
– Both main characters were men.
– They both used swords.
– Both main characters were heroes.
– Both characters are strong and brave.
