Playground Fun in Primary 1!
After being awarded Ms Sommerville’s class of the week the boys and girls in Primary 1 enjoyed their prize of an extra playtime. They loved having the empty playground to run around in and playing on the trim trail!

Primary 2 loved having their parents and guardians come in to class at our Open Morning last week! It was a fantastic turnout and they were very glad to have some help designing their Christmas Cards. Thank you for your support! Miss Lalmy
During the 11th-17th September it was Maths Week in Scotland. Primary 2 have been learning about Planning The Year. During Maths Week they have been successful at recognising and ordering days of the week, months of the year and the seasons. Primary 2 have also been fantastic at singing the days of the week song and the months of the year song. To consolidate their learning they were doing various
Primary 2 have been learning about the Recount genre. They have been writing in the past tense and making sure they are writing the events in the correct order. Here are our Star Writers so far this term! Well done 🙂

Primary 2 are excited to begin their year and are looking forward to sharing all their learning with you.
P3 peer assessed Road Safety Jingles that had been created and recited by P7. We listened carefully for rhymes and found loads! We liked how Macy rhymed with Safety and we heard a few road and toad rhymes.
P5 are enjoying learning about performing and reading music during their fortnightly Kodaly Choral lessons.
The boys and girls in Primary 1 worked in teams to complete a series of numeracy missions outdoors! Mission one was a treasure hunt in the school playground and garden. Each team were given a number between 1 and 5 and they had to find representations of that number hidden around the school. Mission two challenged the children to find natural materials and create a pictorial representation of their team number. The children made great use of the
Today Primary 3 enjoyed learning new skills when playing the target game of golf. We loved playing the game ‘under the bridge’ where we had to pass the golf ball through our partner’s legs. We could make this harder by making the bridge narrower or standing further back and increasing the distance from our partner. We finished off with a competitive game of ‘against the wall’.
