All the children in Aitkenhead Primary designed their own yellow brick which showed something that made them happy. They did this as we celebrated ‘International Day of Happiness.’ These were all collected and displayed on our ‘Wall of Happiness.’ Such a wide range of things make our children happy from playing with friends to eating chicken to playing fortnite!

This month our ‘Right of the Month’ is Article 29 (Please see picture below). We are celebrating ‘International Day of Happiness’ on Wednesday 20th which will highlight our happy personalities and allow pupils to explore their talents and abilities in dance! Please dress down in bright, happy BUT comfortable colours!
The Tartan Tea was a huge success! We are so proud to congratulate our winners but not only the winners but for all the boys and girls too. Friday was a super busy day at the Science Centre for P6. It was the launch of our Clyde in the Classroom topic where we learned how to care for our fish. There was also some time to visit the different floors and explore the different activities.
The children had great fun dancing to The Grand Old Duke of York and taking part in party games for their Christmas Party. You all looked wonderful!
P4 & 5 had a fantastic time at their Christmas party. They danced, played games and enjoyed some snacks. They all looked fabulous! Well done to those who won games and thank you to Scott and Zak from P7 for being our super DJ’s.

It was all festive today at lunchtime! Primary 1 and 2 pupils enjoyed their delicious Christmas Lunch being served by senior pupils.
It is starting to feel like Christmas at Aitkenhead. Mrs McGowan has decorated the tree beautifully, all the classes are practising dances for their party and songs for the school show.
