Santa Cam arrived at Keir Hardie today.
Primary 4,5, 6 and 7 took part in anti-bullying workshops today. They learned about different types of bullying such as cyber, verbal and physical bullying. In groups the children created freeze frames showing different scenarios and discuss the correct thing to do if faced with these situations themselves. A very worthwhile and fun experience for all that took part.
Thank you to the Bartie family for their very kind donation of the bird bath for our school garden. It is beautiful and fits perfectly in the fairy theme of our garden. Thank you again from everyone at the school.
Well done to everyone who received a certificate this week. Primary 7 were all awarded with a participating certificate from Kilbowie. Congratulations!
This morning we welcomed family and friends of Primary 6 to our Anti-Bullying Assembly. Primary 6 delivered a very important message of what bullying is and how we can best deal with situations when they arise. They shared with us different forms of bullying and how it can affect people. The message was presented in a very entertaining way with songs, poems and interactive anti-bullying scenarios.
We had lots of fun this afternoon during Privilege Time. Our activities included playing board games, building with construction and getting messy during arts and crafts. We can’t wait for next week!
There is an Anti-bullying focus this week at school. This year’s theme is ‘All Different, All Equal’. Celebrating our differences is important and we should ensure that everyone is treated with respect as we are all equal. The Primary 6 pupils will be leading our assembly on Wednesday morning. Parents of the P6 class are welcome to join us.
There will also anti-bullying workshops for all children on Thursday and Friday.
Celebrating achievement and success at Keir Hardie!
Today at assembly we had many pupils receiving certificates for a wide range of achievements. Mrs Queen gave out special certificates to the children who have had work chosen to be displayed outside her room on the Wonderful Work Wall! Well done everyone.
Primary 1 and Primary 2/3 loved joining together again for Privilege Time last week. The boys and girls were amazed at Miss Kelly’s fabulous dance moves during their ‘dance off’ competitions! We had lots of fun building and designing with construction and some of us even got our hands messy with Miss Anderson’s Art and Craft activities. We can’t wait for next week!
