Due to the severe weather all North Lanarkshire Council schools will be closed tomorrow Friday 2 March 2018.

Keir Hardie Memorial Primary School and Nursery Classes will be CLOSED today!
Due to the adverse weather NLC have made the decision to close all schools today- Wednesday 28th February. We will keep you notified of any updates as and when we have them!

Due to the weather forecast for this week we have taken the decision to cancel our Family Fun Quiz Night scheduled for this Thursday. (1/3/18)
We don’t want anyone to miss out on the fun due to Storm Emma.
We are going to reschedule for after the Easter break.
Anyone who has purchased tickets will be reimbursed.

Do you want to build a snowman?
Some of the teachers set a challenge to see who could build the biggest snowman.
Primary 1 Registration
Children who attain the age of 5 years between 1 March 2018 and 28 February 2019 should be registered during the week commencing Monday 15 January to Friday 19 January 2018.
Times for registration at Keir Hardie are:
Monday 15th January 1.30pm-2.30pm
Tuesday 16th January 9am -10 am & 1.30pm- 2.30pm
Wednesday 17th 9am – 10am & 2.30pm – 3.30pm
Thursday 18th January 9am -10am & 2.30pm-3.30pm
Each child’s birth certificate and proof of address in the form of the current council tax bill must be produced.
The pupils had a great time this morning at the children’s raffle.
We also had an extra special surprise as Emmie Smillie Charity Foundation donated toys to the school for the boys and girls. All pupils at school today were given the opportunity to choose a toy.
Emmie Smillie Charity Foundation is a non profit organisation that intends to fund several cancer charities.
Thanks to the staff at Keir Hardie for donating the toys to the raffle and thanks to Emmie Smillie Charity Foundation for their generous donation so every child got a gift today.
Its going to be a Merry Christmas!

Thank you to everyone that attended our Christmas Service in Newarthill Parish Church. It was lovely to see so many family and friends. Our Primary 6 pupils were fantastic leading our service and all the pupils sang beautiful.
Reminder that the school closes at 2.30pm tomorrow.
