Primary 7 had their Christmas party on. Monday after school. All of the boys and girls had a great time doing some of the Scottish country dancing they had learned, as well as some party favourites like the slosh and the hucklebuck.
Primary 3 and 4 Christmas Party
Christmas is Forever
On Monday Primary 3-7 performed our Christmas show – Christmas is Forever over at Brannock High School. The show followed a ‘James Blonde’ theme and followed our very own agents and elves who tried to rescue Santa Claus from Scareymonger and his henchmen after they had kidnapped him. We had a fantastic turnout and our audience was packed. All of the boys and girls performed the show again on Tuesday for the pensioners in the local area.

Christmas Concerts
Christmas is Forever – Agent OOPS! P3 – P7 children
The Wriggly Nativity – P1 and P2 children
We have managed to hire Brannock High School for our school concert on Monday 7 December at 6.30pm, to allow all parents to come to an evening performance. We have taken on board the requests from parents and hope this now suits the majority. The high school can take 400 and we have 193 pupils. Each family will be able to purchase 2 tickets and if we have any unsold, they will be offered at a later date.
Due to the expense of hiring the high school for 4 hours on Sunday and Monday evening (£190), for the staging and seats to be set out, we will have to increase the cost of tickets. Tickets will cost £4 per ticket. You will have until Friday 27 to purchase your 2 tickets.
We will hold our show for the Old Age Citizens and Grandparents in our community, on the morning of Tuesday 8 in our school hall at 9.30am.
Nursery Concert – The Wriggly Nativity!
The nursery concert will be held in our school on Thursday 10 December at 10.00am.
Letters will go out on Monday with a tear off slip for your tickets and details of prices for both the school and nursery concerts. Tickets will be on sale from Tuesday onwards.
More information to follow, for concerts and parties, next week!
Children in Need
This Friday we are raising funds to donate to Children in Need. We are having a non-uniform day for which children should bring £1. We are also going to be playing guess the bears birthday for 50p a guess and holding a raffle at 20p a ticket.
Have a look at the Children in Need website to see some of the worthwhile causes that they support with the money raised.

REMINDER
Basic Food Charity Collection
The Citizenship and Charity Committee are once again helping the local charity Basic Foods. We would be very grateful if you could help by donating any dried or tinned foods for people in the Motherwell area who may have fallen on hard times. We are hoping to hand over our collection week beginning 2nd November, when Mr Shaw from the charity is visiting our school. Thank you very much for once again helping us to help others.
