Meet Keir Hardie’s Junior Road Safety Officers, Kian Irvine (P7) and Elysa Scott (P6). They attended their first JRSO conference on Wednesday with Miss Anderson to find out about some of the exciting things they’ll be taking part in and organising within the school. They were full of enthusiasm and left with some great ideas that they can’t wait to share with the rest of the school!

Maths madness
Primary 2/3 have been working very hard during Maths time. We have been looking at early multiplication and division and handling data. We have used lots of fun materials and resources to help us with our Maths and we are beginning to feel quite confident about sharing items between people in division and making groups of items in multiplication.
P2/3 Update
We have had a very busy start to our year! We have been learning lots of new things and we even had time to take on the role of being an inventor and created our own invention based on a problem we had at home. Some of us were able to show off our wonderful inventions at assembly with Mrs Greer.
Due to the weather recently, we have been learning about The Water Cycle and we are able to talk about what happens during each part of The Water Cycle – we are Scientists in the making! We have been outdoors a lot looking at the puddles and some of us were lucky enough to have a splash in them! I’m sure some children have been singing our Water Cycle song to you over the dinner table!
P2/3 Christmas Concert
We have been working really hard in class and in the hall to learn all of our songs for the Christmas Concert. We can’t wait to perform for our friends and family! Please make sure you have your Christmas jumpers for the performance on Monday 7th of December and Tuesday 8th of December. You can add some ‘Christmas Bling’ if you wish!
