Transfer to Secondary

For pupils transferring to our link high school, a programme is planned with Brannock High School and liaison with staff begins in Primary 6, to ensure all appropriate information is transferred. Pupils are given a variety of opportunities to visit the school beforehand to ease their transition.

Pupils normally transfer between the ages of 11 and 12, so that they will have the opportunity to complete at least 4 years of Secondary education. Any children coming to our primary school or moving on to high school, with support needs, are given an enhanced transition suited to them.
