Unfortunately due to ongoing concerns about the weather we have had to cancel the ceilidh tomorrow evening (Thursday Jan 18). We will endeavour to reschedule this event but if this isn’t possible all money paid by pupils will be transferred onto their prom.
Due to safety concerns for pupils, parents and staff, tonight’s S5/6 Parent Meeting is cancelled. An adverse weather forecast has announced further snow and ice from 3 pm.
A rescheduled date will be given to pupils as soon as possible.

Last night Mrs Barr, Mr Stewart and Fr. John from Conforti accompanied a group of dedicated seniors into Glasgow to bring some Christmas cheer to the homeless. This was an eye-opening and emotional experience for our youngsters.
Our young people raised money, bought the gifts and then set out on an expedition to put their faith into action – well done to all involved.
Theme: Hope
Our first Advent candle reminds us of Abraham, our father in faith & the patriarchs of old who followed God in search of the Promised Land.
God our Father, source of all hope
We pray that you will continue to light the candle of hope in our hearts every day
And that one day soon you will fulfill all of our hopes for this world.
Amen
Thank you to everyone who supported Red Wednesday last week. A terrific £319.16 was raised through the coffee morning, red raffle and sales of wristbands and badges.
Just as importantly, the awareness of ongoing religious persecution was raised among our school community.
Thanks again

Please note that these events are likely to fill up quickly!
It is a highly valuable opportunity for students to network with a variety of healthcare professions, learn about work experience opportunities and how to make a successful application.
Registration is £25 for students on the Saturday conference and there is an optional UCAS lecture available on the Sunday for each speciality.
Parents and pupils can register on the Medic Mentor website and find out more about the event by clicking on http://medicmentor.co.uk/about/events-2/
The Senior Phase Awards ceremony took place on 19th September 2017 and is a wonderful celebration of all that is good at CNHS. Faith, inspiration, opportunities and hard work!
Well done all.
Fabulous turnout from S1 pupils and their parents for our Welcome Mass on Thursday Sept 28. Thanks to our Caritas group and our associate primary Head Teachers for also coming along. Fr Thomas celebrated mass and the new S1 sang beautifully during the candle lit service – well done.
On Friday Sept 29 the PE department organised our S1 to S3 Cross Country Competition. Well done to all our pupils who took part and to our seniors who used excellent leadership skills to ensure the smooth running of the event.
Well done to the S1/2 Girls Netball team who recently beat Bellshill Academy 12-0.
Well done to all the staff and pupils who turned up to support the hospice, and thank you to Mr Reddick and Mr McCluskey for organising it all.
Remember to bring in your sponsor money – give all donations to Mr Reddick.
