Race for Life

52 “Cardy Crusaders” ran The Race for Life 5K yesterday and raised over £1000.  Pupils should hand their sponsor money in to Mrs Maxton as soon as possible, and, parents and staff it’s not too late to hand in money for the charity collection.

Two fabulous S3 girls finished the race in 25 minutes just behind our fastest teacher, Mrs Ferguson, who completed the 5K in 24 minutes.

Senior Phase Opportunity

Exciting apprenticeship opportunity in the role of Customer Service Advisor in Hamilton is now open for applications at HSBC.

This programme will begin in October 2018.

Working as a Customer Service Advisor you will answer calls from our customers and take the hassle out of banking for them. Our customers call us for all sorts of reasons and tell us they want their requests dealing with speed, certainty and empathy, so these are key skills we look for. It could be anything from helping them pay everyday bills to saving for something special. Taking a genuine interest by building rapport and asking open questions is what our customers look for.

This is a full time role. Banking and Contact Centre experience are not essential. What we’re really interested in is a genuine passion for going above-and-beyond for our customers. Everything else we can teach you!

As An Apprentice with HSBC:

·        You will work towards and complete a nationally recognised vocational qualification in Providing Financial Service (equivalent to NVQ Level 3)
·        You will achieve a Certificate in Retail Banking Conduct of Business (CertRBCB)
·        You will gain satisfaction and self-confidence from knowing your capabilities have been successful assessed against an established national framework
·        The professional qualifications behind the Apprenticeship Programme and the experience through the Customer Services role will provide you with a great opportunity to progress your career with us and explore development opportunities that are available to you.

Parental Involvement

Why is parental engagement important?

“Parents and families are the most important and influential people in children and young people’s lives, and are central to achieving our aims of raising attainment for all and closing the attainment gap. We will support all schools to further improve parental engagement and develop family learning programmes that support children’s progress and achievement’.

Information Update

We are pleased to announce that our school will reopen tomorrow morning and classes will begin as normal at 8.55am.

We would also like to say a big thank you to our janitorial team who have worked tirelessly to ensure that, despite the continuing bad weather, the staff car park and pupil routes into the school are clear of snow.

Well done for all your hard work over the weekend.
