Parent Council

Introduction

Loudoun-Montgomery Primary School and Early Years benefits from a very supportive Parent Council who meet monthly.  Loudoun-Montgomery Parent Council has been set up to engage in activities which support the school’s development of pupils. They act as a liaison between parents, school and the wider school community.  They discuss issues for improvement, communicate with the wider parent forum and provide feedback to the school.

Aims & Objectives

  • Two-way dialogue between parents and the school
  • Make suggestions for improvement within the school which supports the education and welfare of its pupils
  • A voice for parents
  • Encourage links with the wider school community
  • To be involved in the recruitment process for appointing the Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher

Any parent or carer of a child in the school can volunteer to be a member of the Parent Council.  The Head Teacher is the professional adviser to the Parent Council and has a right to attend and speak at Parent Council meetings.
