Well done finally to Mrs Mair who is now a Children Handling and Risk Assessment Trainer for the Authority.

During our recent in-service day, all staff completed Part 2 of the Makaton Foundation course including Mr Law our janitor and Mrs Tully in the school office.

Thank you!!!

The Blair

Thank you so much to Tracey and Julie who visited our school this afternoon to present us with a cheque for £700.  Tracey is the owner of the Blair, Auchentiber.  She was keen to donate to a local cause so we were the very lucky recipients.  Both ladies stayed with us whilst Jura class led an assembly all about Burns.  They all looked fab in their kilts and JT did really well in saying ‘The Selkirk Grace’.

40th Anniversary

Please keep an eye out for the Irvine Herald and Irvine Times who will both feature a news article about our 40th anniversary celebrations last week.  If you did not manage along, the celebration was videoed and hopefully we will be able to take orders for dvds soon.

Meantime, here are some photographs of the Service at St Mary’s that was held on Tuesday afternoon and the unveiling of our ‘Time to Blossom’ plaque and stone laying that we had on Friday.  We have had a wonderful time and thank all of our friends and former staff who joined with us to mark the occasion.

40th Anniversary Rehearsals

The 40th Birthday rehearsals are going very well.  The whole school attended St Mary’s Church yesterday for a dress rehearsal.  Please come along and join us next Tuesday at 1.30 to see your child take part in a performance linked to one of the decades from the past 40 years.  I don’t want to say too much as it will ruin the surprise.
