As you know Fridays in Skye class are always relaxing. So I have added a Powerpoint with the “Yoga” we do in class to relax our bodies and minds. I know you all love it!
You can turn off the lights, put the music on, use baby oil or your favourite body lotion to massage your hands and your feet and enjoy!
Hope you all have a good weekend! Take care and stay safe 🙂
Good Morning Skye Class I hope you are all safe and well. I have added some colour matching activities to make at home that are similar to the activities we have been doing in class they are great for a bit of fun, fine motor skills and learning our colours as well. I have also attached a learning intention 🙂
Good morning Skye class, I hope you are all well! 🙂
I have added some visuals, songs and fun activities for all of you to do at home and learn about the different days of the week and the weather. I know all our Skye class boys and girls like to have messy hands and explore, so let’s have some fun! 🙂
The following attachments you can cut them and use them at home. If you have bricks at home, you can cut the weather visuals, stick them on bricks and be creative!
You can explore different coloured objects by looking, touching, smelling and tasting to experience the different days of the week. You can use different colours and tools to paint and make sensory materials.
Look out for red, orange, green, blue, pink, purple or brown things that you may have at home. It doesn’t need to be food only, it can be a box, a fabric, something from the garden.
You can use paint, food colouring and/ or make sensory play objects. I have attached photos of you to make them.
Some examples: Monday: tomatoes, ketchup, Tuesday: oranges, carrots, Wednesday: leaves, a tree in your garden, a green t-shirt, Thursday: ice, Oreos (as the packet is blue), Friday: the smell of a hand cream, soap in a pink bottle, mix strawberries with milk, Saturday: blue and red can make purple, purple paint, Sunday: soil, brown bread.
Thank you so much to Makaton Kris who has shared this lovely signed story with us, if you didn’t see it via Twitter just click to share with your child.
I have attached some visual learning intentions that we use in Home Economics for our wee chefs 🙂 If you attempt to make them, please share your delicious food with us on our FB group or through my email. 🙂 I am waiting to see how good you are 🙂
I have attached some Home Economics visual instructions for making sandwiches and some nice jelly. Maybe the kids can help with lunch or make a nice treat, these will also be fun sensory activities for tasting, smelling and touching . Have fun!!
Hello again to all pupils and families in Skye class!
I hope you are all well and stay safe at home. I am aware that this time is difficult for all of us but I am writing to remind you that Skye class team is here to support our wee faces. Please feel free to contact me for anything regarding your child.
My email address is:
gw16mitroueleni@ea.n-ayrshire.sch.ukÂ
As a class team we will be uploading interesting and useful information for our wee people, things that we do in class and you can practice at home too. If you need something more individualised for your child (e.g. social stories, visuals, PECS, activities), as I previously said you can directly contact me. I can plan, organise and send them to you.
I have attached a song that pupils and adults love in Skye class. Turn the volume on, smile and dance!
