This afternoon at home economics the boys had great fun exploring with different foods and textures. But oh dear what a mess! All the boys helped out clearing up the mess.
At Assembly this week Mrs Mair had talked about Haysholm being eco friendly & energy saving so the boys put that talk into good practice by hanging up the laundry. Well done boys!!
Today was the first session of this block of lessons. G.F and C.Mc both had a great time. These lessons are only available to our children because of the support of the RDA and the many volunteers that are required every week to support our young people, #RDA
Skye class taking part in maths week.
Boys in Skye class had great fun exploring in the mud kitchen during outdoor learning.
Day 5, and it was time to say goodbye to Arran and all the wonderful staff at the Arran Outdoor Centre. Before setting sail for home, the adventurers had one final stroll through Brodick and were very pleased to find the chocolate shop!!!!! We then boarded the ferry and waved a final farewell to Arran. Time now to recharge the batteries before back to school on Monday.
Day 4 on Arran started with the adventurers donning their wetsuits again as we canoed from Lamlash pier back to the outdoor centre. PL and DL showed off their paddling skills as we explored Lamlash Bay, taking in the beautiful scenery and being greeted up close by a couple of common seals.
After lunch we enjoyed a bus journey around the island. Among the sites we saw woodcarvings and a Viking longboat in Corrie, PL was thrown in jail at Lochranza castle and saw cormorants drying their wings in Machrie bay.
After dinner we headed down to the beach where we built a fire, toasted marshmallows and walked along the stones where we saw a family of swans.
Another busy and enjoyable day.
After dinner the adventurers enjoyed a bus journey to Whiting Bay where we  threw stones into the sea, walked along the beach and also saw a rainbow. We then headed up to Brodick for a stroll along the promenade and watched the ferry dock in the bay. Busy day ahead tomorrow so time for some well earned rest.
Today we  climbed  the  wall , this afternoon we went  sailing to the Holy Isle where we enjoyed our lunch.  Everybody  had a shot a turn at driving the boat. Went back to the centre to relax before dinner.
