S6 First Aid and Defibrillator Training

With the support of the charity Defibs for Moray a public access defibrillator has been installed at Keith Sports and Community Centre.

The device is accessible by code from 999 operator in emergency. It guides any user through how and when it should be used without the need for any prior training.

The school are being supported to raise awareness of the device by the charity Keiran’s Legacy who will also be training all leavers in basic CPR.

The first session is for all S6 students on Thursday 28 February. The event is also being supported by Tesco through their community champion programme.

All successful participants will receive a certificate and Saving Lives wristband free of charge. Donations would be welcome to support the good work of this group. Bands will also be available for the next two weeks from the School Office for anyone who wishes to donate to support this charity. Suggested donation of £2 but give what you can,

The school will also receive a defib trainer to support future training. Any public group who wishes to join in with future training or would like a demonstration of the defib machine should contact the school.
