Young Person Fair Travel Scheme

Stagecoach Bluebird and Moray Council have worked together to enhance the Young Person Fair Travel Scheme.

This scheme entitles holders of the Fair Travel Card access to discounted fares on Stagecoach Bluebird buses, subject to service availability within the Moray area.

To be eligible you must be under 18 years of age and in full time secondary education.

Moray Young Citizen Awards Successes

The 2018 MYCA Ceremony was held on Friday 16 March at The Mansefield Hotel in Elgin.

It was a fantastic night celebrating the contribution Moray’s young people make to their communities. To cap it all off Keith Grammar Pupils enjoyed great success.

More details and pictures will follow in the soon to be published March edition of The Banter but in the meantime our congratulations go to Kurtis McQuade as Moray Young Citizen of the Year 2018; The Lofties – Madison Warren, Ellie Broadley, Zoe Nicol, Molly Riddell, Charlotte Freeman and Chloe Dalgarno – Community Group Winners 2018 and to our Health Education Group – Joseph Stronach, Bruce Henderson and Ben Williams – Highly Commended in the School Group category.

Named Person Service – Holiday Period

The Named Person Service must be made available to all children from birth to 18 years of age.  During the holiday period the Named Person Service will be covered by the Local Authority centrally.   The Duty Named Persons can be contacted through the general enquiries line on 01343 563374 or via the generic e-mail address educationandsocialcare@moray.gov.uk.  

As always if the Named Person is not available and there is a concern for a child, a call must be made to Duty Social Work on 01343 563900 (08457 565 656 out of office hours) and/or the Police on 101.
