What you will bring to the role of Head Boy/Girl?
I would describe myself as a true Saint Columba pupil who strives to be and do the best that I can at all times. I am caring, respectful and reliable. I have strong leadership qualities and I am confident in public speaking. I am skilled in listening to others and helping others find solutions. I am considerate, hardworking and conscientious. I would consider myself to be very approachable and value the opinions of others. I firmly believe in equity for all and pride myself in encouraging this my fellow peers. |
What will you try to achieve as Head Girl/Boy if you are elected?
I would make sure that the school is represented strongly in our community and that the values, ethos and aims of the school are promoted and encouraged throughout the school. I would prioritise good communication between pupils and teachers, especially important during this time of uncertainty. I would hope that my approachable manner would mean that people would feel comfortable to talk to me hopefully leading to all of our pupils having a voice in the decisions which affect them directly. I am fully committed to the responsibilities that the role commands and I know that I would be a good role model for the school. |
How will you promote the ethos and values of our school?
I am aware of the importance and relevance of the school values, but I pride myself in not only knowing these but living out the values of faith, ambition, perseverance and inclusion and would welcome the opportunity to encourage these in others. I have a strong faith and feel that this would make me an ideal candidate to represent Saint Columba’s. I have always been ambitious in life and firmly believe that doing our best is good but that we should always strive to do better in everything we do. I understand that perseverance is sometimes difficult, but I firmly believe that we should all try even when times are tough and get us down. Finally, I feel that Saint Columba’s manages to include ALL pupils really well and I value the importance of continuing this tradition truly ensuring equity for all. |
