What you will bring to the role of Head Boy/Girl?

I am a confident individual who will act as a role model to all pupil. I will bring passion and devotion to the role of head girl, as well as my many other qualities. I will balance my school studies and activities so that I can attend after school events and masses. I am a team player, as well as being able to use my own initiative. I have great communication skills and can express my opinion to a wider audience. I pride myself on my own listening skills and can listen to and respond to feedback in an efficient manner.

What will you try to achieve as Head Girl/Boy if you are elected?

My priority would be to improve each and every student’s overall school experience in some small way. I want to create/promote more school clubs and encourage more pupils to be involved in their school live and community. I would like to encourage more pupil voice opportunities across the school so that everyone feels involved. Another aim I have is to ensure all sixth years make the most of their final year; seizing opportunities and reaping the rewards! I hope that working alongside Head Boy we can make this year go as smoothly as possible with organising sixth year prom, fundraising and year book. Finally, I want to build strong working relationships with all year groups and staff. I would like to promote and support focus groups where everyone can share feedback and voice their views about the things affecting them/their year groups. I want to work with teachers to share our ideas and express different ways in which we can improve our school community.

How will you promote the ethos and values of our school?

With regards to promoting the ethos and school values, I would provide a friendly reminder at each year group assembly to promote our school values and suggest simple ways in which learners can demonstrate them. I also plan to create a wall display as this would not only help promote our school community and values but also encourage pupils to have a positive attitude towards learning, sharing feedback and being more creative with their work.
