English Department Activities

The English Department love a club! We currently have 4 on offer in the department:

Filmmaking club (s1-s6)

Learn how to shoot films for free!

An extra-curricular class focussed on teaching filmmaking skills to the next generation of Hollywood moviemakers. Every week we will be working towards the creation of a short film as well as looking at how to approach making larger films!

Don’t like acting? No problem! Filmmaking club is looking for people with creative passion in front of, and behind, the camera.

Gaming Club (s1-s6)

 Head up to the English department to eat your lunch and enjoy a tabletop battle or two!

The chance to play and learn your favourite games including-

• Dungeons & Dragons / Traveller RPG
• Advanced Squad Leader / Chess
• Pokemon
• Magic the Gathering
• Yu Gi Oh

Are you a super storyteller, a perfect poet or a serious scriptwriter?

Or would you like to learn more about creative writing and how to unlock your hidden talents?

Come along to creative writing club where we will be working on exciting writing projects and entering competitions for fabulous prizes.

Writing is a great way to express yourself and to share your ideas with the world!
