Our Community

Due to Covid19 how we support and provide opportunities for the community has slightly changed, as restrictions ease the family support service will hopefully return to normal and this will enable an increase in services delivered at the Centre.

During Covid19 we have made changes to our service to ensure we are still meeting the needs of our community, below is a flavour of the services we are offering to our community at present:

  • Surplus Food Delivery
  • Walking Photography Group

When guidance permits parental workshops and training session will resume with a focus on encouraging parents to be proactive and engage in all aspects of the life of the centre

Below is a flavour of what we offer at Bluebird Family Centre:

  • Baby Massage – provided by family support worker who is an accredited instructor with the International Association of Infant Massage.
  • Community Cooking Sessions – This is a six week programme where classes¬† run weekly for approximately two and a half hours. This is a certificated course which each participant will receive at the end of the course along with a recipe book.
  • Bookbug Sessions – We provide a drop in facility on a Monday and Friday for families with young children to attend and meet other families

As  guidance changes we are looking forward to welcoming families back to our community room to take part in a the variety of opportunities on offer.
