Learning through Play

At Bluebird Family Centre the  staff team are skilled in observing children’s learning through play, developing the right balance between child initiated, adult initiated and adult directed experiences.  The playroom environments are resourced with continuous provision such as sand, water, house corners and creative areas and skilfully ‘set up’ provocations by the staff in response to children’s interests, which provoke curiosity, allow children to explore for themselves and learn through open ended activities without being overly guided by staff.
