Last month the Academy9 team travelled from Glasgow to Grantown and delivered our Roadshow event for 4 primary schools over two days. S4-6 pupils volunteer to take part in four online sessions with an industry professional working on the A9 Dualling programme in a career of interest to the pupil. Approximately 32,000 tonnes of freight (lorry cargo) are estimated to use the A9 every day. That’s equivalent to nearly 6500 elephants. The A9 spans over 22000 hectares, that’s 30000 football pitches. The highest point of the A9 is 460m above sea level at the Drumochter pass.
