Next Steps is an online resource which prepares young adults (S4, S5 and S6) for life beyond school, providing them with the skills and knowledge needed to gain employment.
The resource is split into 4 sessions which could be used by pupils directly or for 4 teacher led lessons.
The content is a mixture of videos, discussion questions and quizzes.
There are also a number of downloadable resources, task sheets, checklists and hint and tips.
During these sessions your pupils will:
- Gain up to date information to help prepare them for life beyond school
- Explore the skills and knowledge needed to gain employment
- Consider interview skills and gain an insight into the recent career pathways of actual professionals who are currently working on the A9 Dualling Programme
- Learn some of the pros and cons of the apprenticeship route and undergraduate route into higher and further education and employment
