This challenge is open to P5-P7 and S1-S2 learners.

There is an annual competition for this challenge. Please contact us for more details about how to get involved.

The challenge is to design and build a road, to meet as many of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as you can.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of targets related to future international development.

They were created by the United Nations and promoted as the Global Goals for Sustainable Development.

There are 17 goals and 169 specific targets for those goals. It is important that the goals are considered when designing and building roads, including the A9 Dualling Programme.

Information for this challenge is in the packs below.  Read through the SDGs with your teacher/team and all the SDG Challenge instructions before you get started.

The goals are listed alongside questions that you will need to think about when designing your ideal road.
